A sort of bridge beetween African roots & NY underground Rock, Electro Bamako have a sound of their own, which belongs to them & them only: A respectful though modern-day translation of what they felt listening to traditional songs turned into a wholehearted & soulful mixture made for partying.

"We enjoy this variety, when two seemingly different musical horizons collide & eventually become one. Our music feeds off diversity : atmospheres, loops, noises, sounds from the streets. We use samples as a palette : a touch of red here might add a bit of warmth, a bit of green here might just cool it down.
We may be "lo-fi painters" if you will, but we are, first & foremost, music lovers who'd rather constantly try & venture on new musical territories than sitting comfortably numb in our comfort zone. This idea of musical nomadism is therefore predominant in our approach. »
